Job summary

Southern HealthCare Solutions is seeking a homemaker (caregiver) to provide in-home support for clients in their residence and assist the individual in maintaining their home.

Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and current auto insurance, and are subject to mandatory background checks and pre-employment drug swab testing. CPR is preferred and responsibilities include light housekeeping, meal planning, and compassionate client care.

Qualifications

• Meets competency requirements.
• Able to read, write, speak, and comprehend oral and written instructions.
• Valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug testing.

Responsibilities

• Household management and light housekeeping (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, ironing, dishes, changing linens).
• Assist with some ADLs.
• Run errands.
• Purchase and store groceries.
• Meal preparation and menu planning.
• Provide emotional support and compassionate care to the client and family.
• Maintain required competency and skills.
• Report changes in the client’s condition or family situation to the supervisor.
• Follow OSHA Universal precautions and agency policies.
• Attend continuing education as required.
• Document all patient-client related activities promptly.
