Job summary

Journey Nursing Services provides people-centered, holistic private duty nursing and home care across Washington. We are expanding and seeking CNAs and HCAs to join our team for in-home, facility, or adult family home care with flexible shifts and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or G.E.D certificate.
• CNA or HCA license to provide home care in Washington State. Can complete Training on-site.
• Experience as a Home Care Aide (in homes or facilities), or other applicable experience preferred.
• Be listed in good standing with the Washington DSHS Background Check System
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
• Have transportation to and from job.
• If providing transportation clients, you must have a valid driver's license and insurance.
• Population-specific experience a plus, (training may be provided) for conditions such as: dementia, Parkinson's, hospice/ end of life care.
• RN delegation certificate a plus may complete training through journey Nursing Services.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on patient care at the place of assignment: In-home, Facility, or Adult Family Home.
• Provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain the highest possible physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.
• Understand and follow individualized care plans and report changes to nurse supervisor.
• Assist with ADLs including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Promote skin integrity and prevent pressure ulcers through proper care.
• Perform delegated tasks such as vital signs and patient weights as directed by the nurse.
• Ensure safety procedures and infection control practices are followed.
