Compassionate Friends Homecare LLC in Willowick, OH is seeking a part-time Caregiver to support veterans and other clients in their homes. You will provide compassionate daily living assistance, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and friendly companionship while following established care plans to maintain safety and dignity for clients.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Certified caregiver training program or equivalent experience in personal care.
Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification.
Ability to pass background checks and comply with state and federal regulations related to caregiving.
Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
Must be able to assist an individual with visual impairment.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide medication reminders and support adherence to prescribed treatment plans under healthcare professionals.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and promote mental well-being.
Monitor clients’ physical and emotional condition, documenting observations and reporting changes.
Assist with mobility and transportation needs, helping clients move safely at home or to appointments.
Follow care plans while maintaining client confidentiality and privacy.
