Job summary

Compassionate Friends Homecare LLC is seeking a part-time Caregiver in Port Clinton, OH to provide compassionate, in-home daily living support. You will assist with bathing, dressing, meal prep, medication reminders, and mobility, while coordinating with healthcare teams to ensure safety and comfort for clients.

This role emphasizes dignity, independence, and respectful care, with emphasis on dementia care experience and strong communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a certified caregiver training program or equivalent experience.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with state and federal regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Must have Dementia Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living to maintain hygiene and comfort.
• Provide medication reminders and support adherence to treatment plans.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe living environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation.
• Monitor clients’ condition and report changes to supervisors.
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs.
• Follow care plans while respecting confidentiality and privacy.
