Job summary

Compassionate Friends Homecare LLC in Cadiz, OH is seeking a part-time Caregiver to provide compassionate, in-home support to veterans and others, helping with daily living activities, mobility, meals, and companionship.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, caregiver training, CPR, and the ability to pass background checks. Prior caregiving experience and HHA/CNA certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified caregiver training program or equivalent experience in personal care.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with state and federal regulations related to caregiving.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Provide medication reminders and support adherence to prescribed treatment plans under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and promote mental well-being.
• Monitor clients’ physical and emotional condition, documenting observations and reporting any significant changes to supervisors or healthcare providers.
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including helping clients move safely within their homes or to appointments.
• Follow established care plans and protocols while respecting client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
