Job summary

Compassionate Friends Homecare LLC is seeking a dedicated Caregiver to support clients in home settings, providing daily living assistance, medication reminders, mobility support, and companionship while upholding dignity and privacy.

You will follow established care plans, monitor client health, document changes for supervisors, and collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, comfortable, and respectful in-home care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a certified caregiver training program or equivalent experience in personal care.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and CPR certification.
• Ability to pass background checks and comply with state and federal regulations related to caregiving.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Preferred: Home Health Aide (HHA) or CNA certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to maintain personal hygiene and comfort.
• Provide medication reminders and support adherence to prescribed treatment plans under the guidance of healthcare professionals.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary requirements and preferences are met.
• Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and organizing to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and promote mental well-being.
• Monitor clients’ physical and emotional condition, documenting observations and reporting any significant changes to supervisors or healthcare providers.
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including helping clients move safely within their homes or to appointments.
• Follow established care plans and protocols while respecting client confidentiality and privacy at all times.
