Job summary

Open Arms Solutions is seeking caring, trustworthy caregivers to provide in-home support to seniors in Buffalo Grove, IL and surrounding communities. You will help seniors maintain comfort, dignity, safety, and independence at home.

As an In-Home Caregiver, you’ll perform non-medical assistance tailored to each client’s needs, with duties including personal care, safe movement, companionship, meal prep, light housekeeping, and medication prompts.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience within the past 2 years.
• Dependable transportation and ability to travel between client homes.
• Current Driver’s License or State ID.
• Smartphone for work-related communication and documentation.
• Must be 18+ and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of a background screening.
• Dependable, respectful, and compassionate approach to client care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and restroom needs.
• Support safe movement and transfers around the home.
• Offer companionship and conversation.
• Prepare meals and encourage proper fluid intake.
• Assist with household chores, laundry, and maintaining a tidy living space.
• Provide medication prompts and reminders.
• Accompany clients to appointments, shopping trips, and other activities.
• Keep the care team informed of changes in the client’s condition or daily routine.
