As a caregiver with Senior Helpers of Grass Valley, you’ll provide personalized care and support tailored to each client’s needs, and your visits bring comfort and confidence to those who depend on you.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of professional hands-on caregiving experience.
• Experience with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, transfers, and personal care.
• Experience caring for clients with dementia preferred.
• Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and meet California Home Care requirements.
• TB clearance or willingness to obtain prior to employment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with clear documentation.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship through conversation, meaningful engagement, hobbies, games, and activities.
• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Supporting mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning with safe techniques.
• Preparing nutritious meals and assisting with feeding as needed.
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a safe home environment.
• Medication reminders per each client’s care plan.
• Transporting clients to appointments and community activities.
• Observing and reporting changes in client condition; documenting accurately.
