Job summary

Agape at Home is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical, in-home support across Pima County. The role focuses on helping clients maintain independence and quality of life in their own homes, with a mission to connect caregivers with clients needing reliable support.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, mobility, meal prep, medication administration, and memory care support while collaborating with healthcare professionals to implement effective care strategies.

Qualifications

• Experience in home health, senior care, or long-term care is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid, CPR, HIPAA regulations, and patient monitoring is essential.
• Familiarity with caregiving tasks such as meal preparation, medication administration, and cleaning duties.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse individuals.
• Experience with disabilities or developmental challenges is a plus.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Provide personal care including mobility assistance and transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts when needed.
• Monitor and document vital signs and health status changes.
• Prepare nutritious meals per dietary requirements and preferences.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment in the home.
• Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to support mental well-being.
• Support memory care for clients with Alzheimer’s or dementia with tailored activities.
