Job summary

Senior Helpers in Mississippi is seeking an In-Home Caregiver to provide essential support to clients in their homes, helping maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life. Duties include assisting with daily living activities, providing companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments.

Must have compassion, strong communication, and the ability to work with seniors including those with memory-related conditions.

Qualifications

Prior caregiving experience with elderly clients preferred.
Experience assisting seniors with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
Understanding of dementia and memory-related conditions is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Compassionate, patient, and attentive to clients with physical or cognitive limitations.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening prior to employment.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting).
Provide companionship and emotional support.
Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders.
Perform light housekeeping (laundry and linen changes).
Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior.
Accompany clients to appointments and outings.
