Job summary

Senior Helpers in Gulfport, MS is seeking an in-home caregiver to support clients in their own homes, helping them maintain independence, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and accompanying clients to appointments. We value compassionate, patient caregivers who can communicate well and respect memory-related needs such as dementia care.

Qualifications

• Prior experience with elderly clients in caregiving is preferred.
• Experience assisting seniors with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
• Understanding of dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and other memory-related conditions is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Assist with meal preparation and medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry and linen changes.
• Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior.
• Accompany clients to appointments and outings.
