Job summary

Happy to Help Caregiving is seeking reliable, compassionate individuals to join our caregiving team. As a caregiver, you will provide essential non-medical support to seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans in their own homes, helping them stay safe, comfortable, and independent.

This is hands-on, relationship-driven work focused on timely caregiving, building trust with clients and families, following care plans, and maintaining dignity and daily routines through professionalism

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Kind, patient, trustworthy, and respectful demeanor.
Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions accurately.
Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks and physical mobility support.
Strong communication skills — able to interact professionally with clients, families, and office staff.
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Prior caregiving experience is a plus, but not required — what matters most is your character, your work ethic, and your willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Providing companionship and meaningful engagement through conversation, activities, and emotional support.
Assisting with personal care needs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support.
Preparing meals and snacks according to client preferences, dietary needs, or care plan instructions, and providing feeding support if needed.
Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, tidying common areas, taking out trash, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
Providing medication reminders in accordance with the care plan (no handling or administering of medications).
Assisting with mobility, repositioning, and safe transfers, including the use of walkers, wheelchairs, or other mobility aids.
Providing transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, grocery shopping, or other approved outings.
Providing respite care support to give family caregivers a needed break while ensuring continuity of care.
Following all care instructions, documenting shift activity appropriately, and communicating any changes in the client's condition or needs to the office promptly.
Supporting each client's independence, personal preferences, daily routines, and overall well-being with professionalism and respect.
