Job summary

Happy to Help Caregiving provides compassionate, non-medical in-home care to help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home. We support seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans with companionship, personal care, respite care, and other services.

As part of our caregiving team, you will build real connections with clients and families, delivering consistent, respectful support across shifts and care plans while maintaining dignity and independence in the home setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Background check required.
• Kind, patient, trustworthy, and respectful demeanor.
• Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions accurately.
• Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks and physical mobility support.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
• Prior caregiving experience is a plus, but not required — what matters most is your character, your work ethic, and your willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Providing companionship and meaningful engagement through conversation, activities, and emotional support.
• Assisting with personal care needs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support.
• Preparing meals and snacks according to client preferences, dietary needs, or care plan instructions, and providing feeding support if needed.
• Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, tidying common areas, taking out trash, and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Providing medication reminders in accordance with the care plan (no handling or administering of medications).
• Assisting with mobility, repositioning, and safe transfers, including the use of walkers, wheelchairs, or other mobility aids.
• Providing transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, grocery shopping, or other approved outings.
• Providing respite care support to give family caregivers a needed break while ensuring continuity of care.
• Following all care instructions, documenting shift activity appropriately, and communicating any changes in the client's condition or needs to the office promptly.
• Supporting each client's independence, personal preferences, daily routines, and overall well-being with professionalism and respect.
