Job summary

OurCare of Connecticut seeks Homemakers and Companions in Milford, CT to support seniors and individuals with disabilities at home. Your role includes companionship, daily living assistance, and helping keep a safe, comfortable environment.

We offer competitive pay of $20 per hour with weekly pay, holiday pay, paid time off, direct deposit, health coverage, flexible full-time and part-time schedules, and an emphasis on independence and peace of mind for families.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous caregiving or companion experience.
• Reliable, trustworthy and compassionate.

Responsibilities

• Offering companionship, conversation, and emotional support
• Assisting with meal preparation and light housekeeping (laundry, dishes, cleaning)
• Running errands, grocery shopping, and accompanying clients to appointments or social activities
• Monitoring client's safety and reporting any concerns to agency and/or family
• Encourage client independence while providing supportive presence
