Job summary

Aides & Companions in Connecticut is seeking a Homemaker/Companion to assist clients at home with daily living activities, meals, transportation, light housekeeping, walks, pet care, and safety—delivering comfort and companionship in a respectful setting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, a clean driving record, and the ability to pass a background check; TB test on hire and optional Hoyer lift experience; dementia training preferred, and a positive, upbeat attitude.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Background check, nationwide.
• TB test upon hire.
• Dementia training or experience preferred.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Must wear scrubs.
• Vaccinated preferred.
• Hoyer lift experience optional.
• Positive and upbeat attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepares nutritious meals for the client.
• Provides transportation to appointments, stores, and events.
• Assists in light housekeeping.
• Accompanies client on walks.
• Cares for a beloved pet.
• Maintains client’s comfort and safety.
• Provides companionship and is a source of comfort for the client.
