Job summary

Companions & Homemakers in Connecticut is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical home care, following individualized care plans and ensuring safety and comfort for clients. This role offers flexible shifts across weekdays, weekends, overnights, and live-in options, with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Open availability preferred.
• Experience as a Caregiver, HHA, CNA, PCA, or Companion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical home care following each client's individualized Plan of Care.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities.
• Help with light housekeeping, meal prep, errands, and grocery shopping.
• Assist with dressing, bathing, mobility, and incontinence care.
• Be a steady, caring presence — offering companionship and emotional support.
• Document care and provide reminders as directed.
