Job summary

Family Resource Home Care in Oregon is seeking compassionate caregivers for day shifts M-F in the Gresham area including Maywood, Hazelwood, Fairview, Troutdale, Boring, Sandy, Corbett and nearby communities. We offer pay of $20-$21 per hour, paid training, mileage reimbursement, and a supportive team. You can work with clients who smoke or have pets, and need transportation in your own vehicle.

No formal experience? We train new caregivers.

Qualifications

• 18 years+ required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb.
• Must own a smartphone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check.
• Able to transport clients in own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Provide companionship and monitor client condition.
• Perform household tasks like cooking, cleaning, laundry.
• Drive clients to store or appointments as needed.
• Coordinate care with the team and document using the mobile app.

Pay: $20-$21 hr. depending on care given.

Current Needs

Day shifts M-F highly needed

• Most shifts start between 8am, 9am or 10am
• Caregivers willing to work with clients who smoke (both indoors and outdoors)
• Caregivers willing to work with pets in client's home
• Drivers who can transport in their own vehicle required
• Behavioral or memory care experience a plus
• Bilingual a plus

Caregiver Job Duties

Our caregivers support their clients in activities of daily living such as (but not limited to):

• Household chores (cleaning, laundry, dishes, etc.)
• Cooking and/or serving meals
• Helping clients bathe, dress, and groom
• Providing companionship through daily activities and hobbies
• Driving clients (as needed) to the store or appointments (driving required)
• Monitoring and reporting on their condition

Additional Information

• Our hiring process is fast and simple! Apply and the recruiter in your region will connect with you to schedule a phone interview. If hired, you will be scheduled for orientation at your branch. Once you have completed onboarding, orientation, and training, you can start working with clients!
• Oregon only – If you have not previously completed the state-required 8-hour Home Care Pulse caregiver training, you will be required to complete the training along with the nurse-led medication training before you can work with clients. You will be paid to complete both trainings!

Requirements

• 18 years+
• Ability to lift a minimum of 10lbs and up to 50lb rarely.
• Must own a smart phone with capabilities to download and use a mobile app.
• Ability to pass a state and national background check
• Able to transport clients in their own vehicle
• Ability to complete state-required caregiver/HCA training as needed
• Have a valid drivers license, auto insurance, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle
