Benevolent Hearts Home Care in Keller, TX is seeking compassionate Dementia Caregivers for 24/7 client care. We provide specialized dementia training to create more positive interactions between clients and caregivers in the home setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of verifiable professional caregiving experience with a home care or healthcare setting.
• Experience supporting clients living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias.
• Background screening must be passed.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance are required.
• Weekend availability preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care for seniors with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care.
• Use dementia-friendly communication approaches such as redirection and validation.
• Support clients experiencing cognitive and behavioral changes.
• Provide meaningful engagement, companionship, and cognitive stimulation.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding when needed.
• Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments and activities.
• Monitor condition changes and communicate concerns to the care team.
• Follow individualized care plans and safety protocols.

Dementia Caregiver - Home Care

Client located in Keller with advanced dementia. Seeking Caregivers for 24/7 care.
AtBenevolent Hearts Home Care, we are building a specialized team of caregivers who understand that behaviors are communication.

We provide
specialized dementia training focused on creating more positive interactions between clients and caregivers in the home care setting. Our goal is to help caregivers develop the skills and confidence needed to create calmer, more successful interactions with seniors living with dementia.

We're looking for caregivers who are comfortable supporting seniors living withAlzheimer's disease, dementia, memory loss, sundowning, wandering, repetition, resistance to care, and other dementia-related behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one care for seniors living with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal care

Requirements

• Minimum one year of verifiable professional caregiving experience with a home care agency, assisted living community, memory care community, rehabilitation center, skilled nursing facility, or similar healthcare setting
• Experience supporting clients living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementias
• Comfortable supporting clients with memory loss, dementia-related behaviors, wandering, sundowning, and resistance to care
• Valid driver's license and current auto insurance
• Ability to pass a background screening
• Weekend availability preferred
• Comfortable working in homes with pets
