ameriCARE Twin Cities North is seeking experienced, compassionate caregivers to join our team and provide personal care, companionship, and daily support to help clients maintain independence and quality of life.

This position offers a flexible part-time schedule and is ideal for individuals seeking supplemental income, retirees, or those looking to stay active in the community.

Qualifications

• Ability to arrive on time and maintain a dependable work schedule.
• Previous experience in caregiving or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with memory care techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of care plans and their implementation is beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and empathy when interacting with clients.
• Ability to prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
• CPR or First Aid certification is preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass background checks as mandated by state regulations.
• Must be over 21 years of age

Responsibilities

• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Provide standby assistance.
• Help prepare meals.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided.
• Monitor and report any changes in the client’s physical or emotional health to family members or healthcare providers.
• Provide transportation for errands, appointments, etc.
