Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists to provide in-home care for adults and seniors, promoting safety, independence and comfort in home settings. PSS staff work directly with individuals in their homes to support daily living and follow an individualized plan of care.

No experience is required - we train and support you. We offer full-time and part-time positions with flexible scheduling, competitive pay ($17.00-$20.00 per hour), mileage reimbursement when applicable, and

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in Maine or willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• CNA (active or inactive) accepted.
• No Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry findings.
• Ability to work independently.
• Physical ability to assist with mobility and daily activities.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license preferred.
• Access to a working cell phone for scheduling and documentation.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Support mobility and transfers with or without mobility aids.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and linens.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving, shopping, and errands per plan.
• Provide companionship and support daily routines.
• Observe and report changes to supervisor.
• Follow client service plan and complete required documentation.
• Follow infection control and privacy guidelines (HIPAA).
• Respond to emergencies and maintain client dignity and safety.
• Maintain dependable attendance and follow schedules.
