Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home personal care and support services to adults and seniors. PSS staff work directly with individuals in their homes to support daily living needs and promote safety, independence, and stability.

As a PSS, you will perform personal care tasks, assist with mobility and daily activities, and help with meal preparation and light housekeeping while following each client’s care plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Active PSS certification in Maine or willingness to enroll in training within 60 days of hire.
• CNA certification accepted; no prior experience required, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Support mobility and transfers with/without aids.
• Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens.
• Prepare meals, assist with meal service, and run errands per care plan.
• Provide companionship and daily routine support.
• Observe changes and report safety concerns to supervisor.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
