Job summary

MaineTouch LLC is seeking Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide in-home care to adults and seniors. You will work in clients' homes, supporting daily living needs and safety while following each client’s plan of care.

No experience is required—we train and support you with ongoing supervision. This role offers flexible scheduling, full-time and part-time options, and opportunities for professional growth in caregiving pathways.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 17 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Active PSS certification in Maine or willingness to enroll within 60 days of hire.
• No experience required – training and support provided.
• Must not be listed on the Maine CNA/Direct Care Worker Registry with substantiated findings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, etc.).
• Support mobility and transfers.
• Help with light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
• Assist with meal preparation and meals.
• Provide companionship and daily routines.
• Observe and report changes to supervisor.
• Follow client service plan and document accurately.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines.
• Maintain client confidentiality and respond to emergencies.
