Job summary

Norton Sound Health Corp. seeks a Personal Care Attendant for the Stebbins region to provide in-home support under the ISP plan. The role focuses on assisting consumers to maintain independence in their homes within the region, with duties including personal care, light chores, and community participation.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 0 years in a human service setting; CPR/BLS and First Aid are required upon hire. Driver’s license preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of patient care principles and techniques including proper lifting.
• Ability to document consistently in case notes and Medicaid documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach services to clients and implement duties from ISP.
• Promote learning of social, living, hygiene skills and community awareness.
• Provide personal care per ISP and light housekeeping.
• Maintain daily reporting through case notes and Medicaid documentation.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and plan activities.
• Motivate clients to complete treatment activities with empathetic relationships.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed.
• Coordinate with NSHC staff and other agencies.
• Attend trainings and departmental meetings; pursue professional growth.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
