Norton Sound Health Corporation in Nome, Alaska is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for our Primary Care clinic. The role focuses on patient-centered care, vital signs, and assisting physicians with ambulatory procedures in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include specimen collection, injections, ECGs, wound care, patient education, and scheduling follow-ups. Requires CMA credential and BLS certification, with at least 3 months of clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical school training in medical assisting.
• Minimum 3 months doctor’s office or clinical experience; 1 year preferred.
• National CMA certification and BLS certification required.

Responsabilités

• Intake patients by obtaining vital signs and documenting chief complaints.
• Obtain lab results and assist with procedures; enter labs as ordered.
• Perform injections (intradermal, intramuscular, subcutaneous) and phlebotomy as ordered.
• Administer oxygen therapy as ordered by the physician.
• Perform ECGs, wound care, patient education and assist with minor surgery.
• Ensure follow-up care and scheduling of appointments.
