Job summary

Home Matters Caregiving - Greater Boston North / West is seeking caring Personal Care Assistants to join our in-home team in the Greater Boston area. You will assist clients with daily living activities, provide meals, and support mobility while delivering compassionate care in a trusted home setting.

We offer flexible scheduling, paid time off and sick leave, specialized Alzheimer’s and dementia training, and 24/7 office support to help you succeed in your role.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in home care or as a Personal Care Assistant
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
• Ability to pass a background check
• Compassionate, high-quality in-home care mindset
• Experience or training in dementia care is highly desirable
• A valid driver’s license may be required depending on client needs

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients
• Medication reminders and documentation
• Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities
• Assist with dementia care, providing specialized support for individuals with cognitive impairments
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and family members regarding client needs and progress
