Job summary

Home Matters Caregiving - Greater Boston North / West is hiring a Personal Care Assistant to support clients in the Greater Boston West area. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, mobility, and provide companionship in a patient, respectful manner.

This in-person role emphasizes dementia care support, careful documentation, and coordination with families and healthcare providers. Flexible scheduling, paid training, and benefits are offered to help you grow professionally.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in home care or as a Personal Care Assistant.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English clearly
• Ability to pass a background check
• A heart for compassionate, high-quality in-home care
• Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
• Experience or training in dementia care is highly desirable.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Medication reminders and documentation
• Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities.
• Assist with dementia care, providing specialized support for individuals with cognitive impairments.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and family members regarding client needs and progress.
