Job summary

Home Matters Caregiving is seeking a Personal Care Assistant to provide compassionate in-home care in the Greater Boston West area. You will assist with daily living activities, meal prep, medication reminders, mobility support, and meaningful engagement with clients.

The role emphasizes dementia care, a compassionate approach, and strong communication with families and healthcare teams. Flexible scheduling and supportive office staff are provided.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in home care or as a Personal Care Assistant.
• Read, write, and speak English clearly.
• Pass a background check.
• Heart for compassionate, high-quality in-home care.
• Compassionate nature with strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients.
• Experience or training in dementia care is highly desirable.
• A valid driver's license may be required depending on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Provide meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Medication reminders and documentation.
• Support clients with mobility and physical exercises as needed.
• Offer companionship and engage clients in meaningful conversations or activities.
• Assist with dementia care, providing specialized support for individuals with cognitive impairments.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping tasks.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and family members regarding client needs and progress.
