Job summary

Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) is seeking Attendant Care Employees (ACE) in Durham, Portsmouth, and Somersworth, NH. Flexible schedules with 10-20 hours per week, schedules set by consumers. Per Diem positions offering an hourly wage of $18.00–$22.00.

As an ACE you provide compassionate, in-home care to promote independence for our consumers, with training and support from GSIL.

Qualifications

• LNA license is NOT required for this position.
• High school diploma is not required for this position.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Must be able to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds or more.
• Adequate car insurance (if applicable).

Responsibilities

• Activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, eating).
• Provide in-home care.
• Range of motion/exercises.
• Laundry, meal preparation, housekeeping, organization, etc.
• Assisting with ambulation and transfers.
• Use of mechanical lifting devices (training will be provided if necessary).
• Medication assistance (reminding a consumer of when it is time to take their medication).
• Providing support in the community with running errands.
