Job summary

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides Comprehensive Youth and Family Support Services and seeks dedicated Behavioral Technicians for the Union County team. You will support children with developmental and intellectual disabilities in-home, in-community, and in-center, with evenings and 5–20 hours per week.

We offer a $300 sign-on bonus, and ideal candidates will complete NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months and work toward RBT certification.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S. (No visa sponsorship available).
• Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must be working toward receiving their Registered Behavioral Technician Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must have a valid New Jersey Driver’s License.
• Must pass all state and federal background checks.
• Pre-employment drug screen required.
• Bilingual Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-physical, emotional, and behavioral support to children and families.
• Ensure the safety and well-being of the client.
• Implement strategies outlined in each child’s Individual Support Plan.
• Conduct functional assessments, including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Use redirection strategies to manage behavioral concerns.
• Submit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with guidelines.
• Respond to crises using de-escalation and safety strategies.
• Engage clients in interest-based activities to support growth and awareness.
• Attend case reviews, team meetings, and required trainings.
• Follow all agency protocols and professional guidelines.

Education

NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification (within 6 months)

High School Diploma or GED with 3 years supervised experience
