Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking an In-Home Tutor in Hemet, CA to support students with special needs in their homes. You will provide personalized 1:1 tutoring aligned with IEP goals and help with daily activities in a compassionate, student-centered approach.

Qualifications

• Must have experience working with students with special needs and accommodations.
• Must be able to commute to Hemet, CA.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
• Must be enrolled in college or have completed AA/BA or higher.
• Ability to make learning fun, interactive, and student-focused.
• Ability to pass an in-person background check (if required).

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with special education needs.
• Develop personalized lesson plans and strategies aligned with each student's IEP.
• Adapt materials, assessments, and teaching methods to fit individual learning styles.
• Track and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and special education teams for a cohesive learning experience.
• Maintain open communication with parents or guardians about progress and concerns.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment supporting emotional and behavioral growth.
• Stay up to date on best practices in special education and integrate them into lessons.
