Job summary

Tutor Me Education in Coachella, CA is seeking compassionate In-Home Tutors to provide 1:1 tutoring for students with special education needs. You’ll deliver tailored instruction at home and support daily activities, aligned with each student’s IEP.

Responsibilities include engaging tutoring sessions, creating personalized lesson plans, adapting materials, tracking progress, and collaborating with teachers and families. Spanish fluency is preferred; commuting to Coachella is required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with students who have special needs and accommodations.
• Must be enrolled in college or have completed an AA, BA or higher.
• Must be able to commute to Coachella, CA.
• Spanish language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with special education needs.
• Develop personalized lesson plans and strategies that align with each student's IEP.
• Adapt materials, assessments, and teaching methods to fit learning styles and needs.
• Track and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and special education teams for a cohesive learning experience.
• Keep open communication with parents or guardians, discussing progress and concerns.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment that supports emotional and behavioral growth.
• Stay up to date on trends and best practices in special education and incorporate them into lessons.
