Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a GIS Field Technician to support a major engineering client in field data collection and GIS updates. The role emphasizes outdoor work, collaboration with a Joint USE/Fiber Make Ready Team, and providing design input based on field data. Travel may be required within the client region with occasional overnight stays.

The ideal candidate holds an Engineering Tech. or Bachelor's degree in GIS or related field and is comfortable working outside the majority of the time.

Qualifications

• Must have field-oriented mindset and ability to work outside 90% of the time
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude to grow with the client
• Background in GIS or scientific discipline is required

Responsibilities

• Perform in-field GIS data collection as part of Joint USE/Fiber Make Ready Team
• Provide education in-field design suggestions based on collected data
• Travel to client regions as needed, with overnight stays as required
