ASU Preparatory Academy (ASU Prep) seeks a dedicated Special Education Paraeducator to support students with special needs in the classroom and coordinate with teachers and support staff in immersion settings.

The role involves supervising small groups, reinforcing classroom instruction, and assisting with lesson preparation and daily activities, ensuring timely communication with partners and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and an Associate's degree or higher, or 60 college credits, or pass ADE assessments.
• Active DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• CPR Certification.
• Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
• Any equivalent combination of experience/education.

Responsibilities

• Works with small groups under the supervision of the teacher.
• Directs small groups of children.
• Assists children in understanding and following directions.
• Encourages independent work.
• Reinforces skills taught by the teacher to groups.
• Supervises children during lunch, playground, etc.
