Job summary

Indium Corporation in Utica, NY, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician I to provide in-cell technical support and training for production staff, while assisting engineers in developing and implementing manufacturing processes.

The role requires strong hands-on mechanical skills, clear communication, and the ability to work with procedures and work instructions; shift is Monday–Friday, 1st shift 7:00am–3:30pm, at 111 Business Park Drive, Utica, NY.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree in a technical field preferred.
• Hands-on mechanical knowledge and experience.
• Communicates clearly and professionally in written and oral form.
• Able to operate virtual meeting platforms.
• Must possess a high degree of energy and drive.
• Electrical and/or software development knowledge a plus.
• Provide own transportation for local/day travel between Indium Corporation facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time in-cell technical support, guidance, and training for manufacturing processes.
• Verify worker compliance with established procedures and work instructions.
• Verify and implement manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and quality personnel to identify issues affecting product quality.
• Monitor equipment functionality and participate in equipment installation and qualification.
• Report to mentors and managers on work status and issues; participate in process improvement.
