Job summary

TEKsystems in Richmond, VA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead in-building wireless and telecom integration projects for universities, municipalities, and large facilities. You will oversee construction through final delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors in a hybrid office/field environment.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years PM experience in telecommunications, strong milestone reporting, and PMP or pursuing certification.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience within the telecommunications industry.
• Experience managing projects from construction through integration and completion.
• Proven ability to create, track, and report on project milestones and deliverables.
• Strong communication and cross-functional coordination skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and project reporting tools.
• PMP certification or active pursuit of PMP certification.
• DAS/IBW experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing tasks for project teams, vendors, and contractors.
• Coordinate project execution to ensure delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Establish project timelines, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress against key milestones.
• Conduct site visits to inspect project progress, quality, and workmanship.
• Perform site surveys and quality control reviews alongside construction teams.
• Track project status and provide regular reporting to leadership and stakeholders.
• Manage project budgets, financial forecasting, invoicing, and revenue tracking.
• Identify project risks and provide solutions to resolve issues and escalations.
• Oversee subcontractor selection, coordination, and performance.
• Maintain effective communication with internal teams, customers, and external partners.
• Set and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Apply project management best practices and PMBOK principles to support successful project delivery.
• Support process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and project outcomes.
