Job summary

SUN VALLEY ELEMENTARY seeks an AVID Site Coordinator to implement WICOR and bolster instructional rigor across classrooms. You will support AVID leadership, coordinate tutoring, and drive AVID initiatives within Sunnyside School District.

Reporting to the building principal, you will collaborate with administrators and teachers to sustain a mission-driven AVID culture and ensure students receive the supports they need for college and career readiness.

Qualifications

• Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
• Valid Washington State teaching certificate required.
• Experience with AVID and campus leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement WICOR to bolster rigor across classrooms.
• Lead AVID professional learning for campus staff.
• Coordinate AVID tutoring and elective implementation.
• Support alignment of school goals with AVID systems.
• Collaborate with district and administrators to sustain AVID culture.
