Motorola Solutions in the Chicago area seeks an Import Trade Operations Lead to ensure compliance with U.S. and Canada import regulations, HTS classifications, and brokerage procedures in a hybrid role. You will guide internal teams and external partners to maintain compliant import operations.

The role requires 5+ years in trade compliance and a valid U.S. Customs Broker License; strong HTS expertise and excellent communication are essential for successful collaboration.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in trade compliance or related operations.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. import rules, HTS, and OGA requirements.
• Current valid U.S. Customs Broker License is required.
• Ability to classify diverse products with HTS accuracy.
• Proven documentation review and accuracy focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure CBP and applicable agency compliance for imports.
• Review and maintain HTS classifications for products.
• Thoroughly review import documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare financial information for value reconciliation filings.
• Liaise with customs brokers to resolve issues and optimize processes.
• Assist in internal and external audits and post-entry reviews.
• Maintain current knowledge of 19 CFR regulations and trade laws.
• Communicate with internal teams and external partners on compliance matters.
• Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
