Job summary

MOHR Talent is seeking an Import Entry Writer with FDA/PGA expertise in Long Beach, CA. This is a 100% onsite Direct Hire role offering $73,000+ per year and a fast-paced environment handling PGA/FDA entries and releases.

You will process import entries, review documents, manage May Proceed releases, and coordinate with Customs, FDA, and other agencies to keep shipments moving smoothly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customs entry writing or brokerage operations experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with PGA/FDA entries and releases.
• Proven ability to handle high-volume entry work, ideally 100-150 entries per month.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience reviewing import documents, HTS/product codes, and client SOPs.
• Solid Excel, Outlook, and Word skills.

Responsibilities

• Process import entries accurately and on time.
• Review commercial documents and correct missing or inaccurate information before submission.
• Handle PGA/FDA requirements, including “May Proceed” releases.
• Flag FDA exams, holds, or shipment issues quickly.
• Use client SOPs to support HTS/product code classification.
• Track release status with Customs, FDA, and other agencies.
• Resolve entry errors, holds, and documentation issues.
• Update delivery orders and send clear carrier instructions when shipments must be held.
• Correct bill of lading and file issues before handing completed files to Post-Entry.
