Job summary

Avnet is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to support import operations and FTZ administration in Chandler, AZ. You will work with CBP regulations, HTS classifications, and trade data across SAP and other systems, ensuring accurate documentation and timely clearance.

The role collaborates with Supply Chain, Logistics, Receiving, Procurement, Finance, and Operations to maintain compliant processes and drive efficiency. A bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in trade/compliance are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in Trade Compliance, Import Operations, FTZ Operations, Customs Brokerage, Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Familiarity with SAP and trade data systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily import compliance and FTZ operations per CBP regulations and company procedures.
• Review HTS classifications, country of origin information, and trade data in SAP and other systems.
• Assist with evaluating Section 301, Section 232, AD/CVD, and other trade program applicability under management guidance.
• Review import documentation for accuracy and completeness, including invoices, packing lists, and customs entries.
• Coordinate with customs brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders for timely customs clearance.
• Maintain FTZ inventory transactions, admissions, transfers, exports, destructions, and reconciliations.
• Prepare compliance reports, duty spend analysis, FTZ reporting, and operational metrics.
• Assist internal audits and broker reviews, and update procedures and training materials.
