Job summary

Base pay range

$65,881.00/yr - $67,857.00/yr

Launched in 2008, KIND champions a world in which every child’s rights and well-being are protected throughout their journey to safety.

Building on its extensive programming and successful model in the United States, KIND is expanding in the Americas and Europe to bring its experience to bear in working with unaccompanied and separated children. Our work focuses on addressing the legal and mental health needs of this population; building strong partnerships and engaging in training and capacity strengthening with governments, NGOs, and the private sector; and advocating for systemic and pragmatic reforms to advance the rights of unaccompanied and separated children.

Position Summary:

KIND seeks an Implementation Specialist to work closely with the Senior Manager, Talent & Learning. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the successful implementation and ongoing management of a Talent Management System (TMS), while also overseeing the daily operations of the Learning Management System (LMS). This role ensures smooth system functionality, user engagement, and alignment with organizational learning and development goals. As part of the Talent & Learning team, the Implementation Specialist will contribute to optimizing employee growth, compliance, and development processes across the organization.

This a headquarters position based remotely from any location in the U.S.

Essential Functions
Talent Management System Implementation:


  • Assists with the planning, configuration, testing, and deployment of the new Talent Management System. s
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to gather requirements and provide technical and administrative support during system rollout.
  • Helps develop and deliver training materials and sessions to end users.
  • Tracks and resolves implementation issues, escalating to senior staff or vendors as needed.
  • Ensures data integrity, system accuracy, and timely updates throughout implementation.



Learning Management System Administration:


  • Manages the day-to-day operations of the LMS, including user account management, course assignments, and content uploads.
  • Monitors system performance and user engagement metrics, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to staff and stakeholders.
  • Maintains LMS documentation, user guides, and knowledge base content.
  • Collaborates with internal teams to schedule and publish required and optional training.



General Support and Collaboration:


  • Maintains confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Supports audits, compliance reporting, and data analysis related to learning and talent development.
  • Stays current on LMS/TMS best practices and trends in learning technologies.
  • Assists the Senior Manager, Talent & Learning with special projects and initiatives.



Qualifications And Requirements

  • Graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Instructional Design, or related field; or 2 years of equivalent experience.
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in system administration, HR technology support, or eLearning systems—preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Brainier, Litmos, Moodle, etc.) and Talent Management Systems.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn new software tools quickly.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience in a complex organization or consulting role requiring impeccable judgment, strong analytical skills and exceptional stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Strong project planning skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple project priorities as part of a collaborative team effort.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, in positions requiring communication with a broad and diverse audience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (such as Teams, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to work collaboratively and multi-task in our KIND environment, managing numerous priorities and emerging opportunities
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects in a deadline-oriented environment; ability to prioritize tasks and delegate as appropriate
  • Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds, lived experiences, and communication styles
  • Be disciplined and nimble to ensure delivery on our core mission of access to justice and protection of children’s well-being and rights
  • Ability to multitask and work with a sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Committed to practicing and supporting wellbeing and a work-home life balance.
  • Experience working and communicating in a remote environment, preferred but not required.
