Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is hiring an Implementation Coordinator – Economics for the OnRamps program in Austin, TX. This role supports the fidelity of the Economics course and provides high-level instructional and professional development services to OnRamps instructors, including data-informed interventions.

The position involves travel up to 5% within Texas, a hybrid work environment, and weekends/evenings as needed to support professional learning institutes and enrollment deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three years teaching experience at a high school or college level.
  • Demonstrated understanding of high school teaching and learning.
  • Excellent customer service skills with decorum and tact when engaging stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Supports OnRamps Instructors in implementing courses with fidelity along the OnRamps Four Pillars.
  • Develops and implements annual professional learning institutes during Summer, Fall, and Spring for instructors.
  • Implements ongoing professional development through weekly communication, monthly virtual meetings and institutes.
  • Develops interventions for instructors with implementation challenges and those onboarded after Summer Institutes.
  • Uses data to ensure fidelity of OnRamps courses and supports instructor resources.
  • Maintains a virtual community for instructors across Texas and mentors instructors.
  • Supports designated special projects aligned with OnRamps mission.

Position requires up to 5% travel throughout the state of Texas. Weekends and evenings possible to support course implementation, including during summer, spring, and fall professional learning institutes and enrollment deadlines.

Purpose

Supports efforts and ensures fidelity of implementation of the OnRamps Economics course to coordinate a high-level of instructional and professional development service and support to OnRamps Instructors.

Responsibilities
  • Supports OnRamps Instructors in implementing courses with fidelity along the OnRamps Four Pillars. Develops and maintains strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders by providing exceptional customer service, technical support, and problem-solving with professionalism, positivity, tact and decorum.
  • Develops and implements annual professional learning institutes during Summer, Fall, and Spring for OnRamps instructors in close collaboration with the Course Leads, OnRamps Assistant Director, and Professional Learning and Development team to ensure and enhance course implementation aligned to the OnRamps Four Pillars.
  • Implements on-going professional development and learning activities through weekly communication, monthly virtual meetings, and professional learning institutes. Uses standardized relationship building strategies to cultivate and leads a facilitated network of OnRamps Instructors.
  • Develops and implements interventions for instructors with implementation challenges and those that are onboarded to OnRamps after annual Summer Institutes and throughout the academic year.
  • Utilizes data to ensure fidelity of implementation of OnRamps courses using data science methodologies, such as instructor engagement, pacing, and submissions. Supports fidelity of implementation which may include instructor resources in headquarters and investigations of academic integrity.
  • Supports an instructor support system using mentor instructors and online platforms to provide extra support for new OnRamps Instructors. Sustains a virtual community for our instructors across the state by utilizing online platforms and mentor instructors.
  • Supports and engages in designated special projects as assigned that supports the mission and strategic direction of OnRamps as an organization.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, education, or related field.
  • Three years teaching experience at a high school or college level.
  • Demonstrated understanding of High School teaching and learning.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to engage multiple internal and external stakeholders with decorum and tact.

Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Economics, education, or related field.
  • Five years teaching experience at a high school or college level.
  • Experience providing support or instructional coaching to teachers.
  • Proficient in Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) or another LMS.
  • Proficient in Smartsheet or other Project Management system.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to lay audiences using a respectful, client-focused approach.
Salary

$60,000 + depending on qualifications
