Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Healthcare IT Implementation Lead to drive client projects from kickoff through go-live on a ~90-day timeline. You will manage scope, milestones, and cross-functional integration work with client IT teams, including VPN and interface feeds.

You will train end users, validate data interfaces, and serve as the main contact post go-live, collaborating with support, engineering, and product teams to prioritize enhancements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT implementation or related client-facing role.
• Strong ability to manage multiple client implementations against timelines.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner and/or MEDITECH and HL7/ADT concepts is preferred.
• Familiarity with revenue cycle or care-coordination workflows is a plus.
• Excellent communication with hospital IT directors and clinical staff.

• Lead new client implementations from kickoff through go-live, typically on a ~90-day timeline
• Manage scope, project hours, and milestones
• Maintain project plans, status trackers, meeting notes, and action items
• Communicate project status to internal and client stakeholders
• Coordinate technical integration work with client IT teams, including VPN/tunnel connectivity and interface feeds
• Run workflow assessment sessions to map current-state processes and design future-state configuration
• Lead interface and data validation testing
• Deliver end-user training and provide on-site or remote go-live support
• Serve as primary point of contact for assigned client accounts post go-live
• Triage and troubleshoot configuration issues, distribution problems, and interface discrepancies
• Partner with support, engineering, and product teams to scope and elevate product enhancement requests
• Share rotating on-call coverage for urgent client issues outside standard business hours
• Assist occasionally with sales demonstrations for prospective clients

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in healthcare IT implementation, clinical systems consulting, EHR integration, or a related client-facing technical role
• Strong project management skills and ability to independently manage multiple concurrent client implementations against a defined timeline
• Working knowledge of EHR platforms such as Epic, Cerner and/or MEDITECH, including ADT feeds and interface concepts (HL7 or similar)
• Experience with, or strong aptitude for, healthcare revenue cycle and/or care-coordination workflow concepts
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills; comfortable leading meetings with hospital IT directors, physician leadership, and front-line clinical staff
• Analytical, detail-oriented approach to troubleshooting
• Willingness to travel to client sites approximately 20% of the time
• Flexibility to work occasional early mornings or evenings as needed
• Bachelor's degree in health informatics, healthcare administration, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
