Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Shift Supervisor for the Implant Department in Austin, TX. You will lead a team responsible for maintaining state‑of‑the‑art production equipment and drive improvements in quality, efficiency and cost of ownership.

The role requires a high school diploma, 2+ years semiconductor experience, and familiarity with implant/etch processes and equipment. Lean principles and proficiency with Excel/PowerPoint/Word are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required; Technical degree preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of semiconductor experience highly desired.
• Knowledge of Implant, RTP, and/or etch processes and equipment preferred.
• Experience with listed equipment (AMAT, Axcelis, LAM, Mattson, Nissin, Veeco) preferred.
• Understanding of Lean Principles.

Responsibilities

• Monitor tool status and performance daily; chart monitoring as needed.
• Review FDC/Tool trend data to determine root causes of recurring issues.
• Interpret datasets and identify trends relevant to Implant process control.
• Lead team meetings and coordinate daily workload and sustain activities in the fab.
• Ensure SOPs, OCAPs, and other plans are used for efficient, safe operations.
• Analyze alarms/interlocks data to identify equipment issues and assist with troubleshooting.
• Develop and improve documents (SOPs, Job Aids, OCAPs) to drive efficiency.
• Perform root cause analysis to prevent future production issues.
• Analyze particle failures related to assembly/cabling/harness wear and related BMs.
• Use Fishbone Diagrams and 5 Whys for issue resolution.
• Cross-train on ion-implantation and rapid thermal processing equipment.
