Job summary

Top Implant Center in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced dental assistant for a part-time role (Mon and Wed, 9 AM–6 PM) with no weekend shifts. The practice specializes in advanced implant and cosmetic dentistry, using digital imaging and Open Dental to support complex procedures.

You will provide chairside assistance for implants, full-arch restorations, and cosmetic cases, take diagnostic X-rays, sterilize equipment, and educate patients. Overtime and holiday pay may apply.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dental assisting experience
• Basic life support certification (BLS) or CPR
• Experience with cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, emergency dentistry and general dentistry
• Familiarity with Open Dental software
• Ability to communicate with a diverse patient base in English

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during complex procedures including implants and periodontal surgeries
• Take diagnostic-quality dental radiographs as directed
• Prepare and mix dental materials such as fillings, impressions and bonding agents
• Assist in emergency situations and monitor patients during procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Perform reversible expanded functions under dentist's direction
• Assist the dentist in 4-handed dentistry
• Sterilize instruments and prepare treatment rooms
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain what to expect
• Assist with restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments
