Coastal Empire Periodontics & Implant Dentistry is seeking an experienced dental assistant to join our specialty practice in a fast-paced clinical environment. This part-time role supports the periodontist during procedures and prepares treatment rooms and instruments.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of dental assisting experience, welcome surgical exposure (extractions, implants, periodontal surgery), and proficiency with Dentrix, DEXIS, and Sidexis, along with strong communication and

• Minimum of 2 years dental assisting experience.
• Periodontal and oral surgery experience preferred (specialty experience).
• Experience assisting with surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, and periodontal surgery.
• Proficient with Dentrix, DEXIS, and Sidexis.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Positive attitude with a strong commitment to patient care.
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and surgical instruments.
• Assist the periodontist during periodontal and oral surgery procedures.
• Take and process digital radiographs.
• Educate patients on pre- and post-operative instructions.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in Dentrix.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and sterilization protocols.
