Job summary

The Plymouth Family YMCA is hiring a Site Assistant to support daily operations at the learning center and help develop children’s social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cognitive growth. Location: Plymouth, MI; site assignments may vary by staff availability and area needs.

Requirements include a high school diploma, some supervision experience preferred, and DHS clearance, TB test, CPR/First Aid/AED/Child Safe certifications within designated timelines. Training provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (over 18).
• Some experience supervising children preferred.
• Meets state licensing requirements and DHS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Attends to the needs of participating children in a safe, nurturing environment.
• Plans and leads curriculum-based activities with Site Supervisor approval.
• Maintains staff-to-child ratios and assists with housekeeping tasks.
• Serves healthy snacks and completes required paperwork.
• Participates in staff meetings, open houses, and PTA events.
