Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit is hiring a Before and After School Care Site Assistant to support Fraser Public Schools. You will help develop children's social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and cognitive growth while supervising activities and ensuring safety.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, preparing materials, and coordinating with YMCA staff and school partners. The role requires a high school diploma and poses opportunities to contribute to youth development within a trusted

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required (must be 18+).
• Some experience supervising children preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Attends to the needs of participating children in a safe and nurturing environment.
• Plans and leads daily curriculum-based activities approved by Site Supervisor.
• Sets up and cleans up learning environments and prepares materials.
• Maintains staff-to-child ratios and helps with housekeeping tasks.
• Serves prepared healthy snacks and maintains required paperwork.
• Follows emergency site procedures and drills; assists as directed by Supervisor.
