Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree required.
• Experience: One year in reviewing, monitoring, determining eligibility for employment services or unemployment insurance programs or related fields.
• Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Master’s degree substitutes for one year of experience.
• Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Prior workforce program or related field experience may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE

Responsibilities

• Assists job seekers in need of services, makes referrals, monitors progress and performs case management.
• Develops employability plans based on aptitudes, interests, and work experience.
• Works with employers to promote employment services and solicit opportunities.
• Assists employers with job orders and referrals; maintains a daily log of services.
• Engages with public, private, and state agencies through job fairs and ads.
• Works in the resource room assisting customers with unemployment claims; addresses inquiries in person or by phone.
• Conducts workshops for job seekers on job search techniques, resume writing and interview skills.
