Job summary

RI Council 94 seeks a Compensation Claims Analyst to examine injury reports and settlement agreements to ensure compliance with the Workers' Compensation Act. The role involves reviewing data, advising on payments, and preparing statistical reports for departmental use.

The analyst will provide technical assistance to all parties, conduct training seminars for adjusters, and maintain accurate records of assigned claims. Hours are standard full-time with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of the Workers' Compensation Act and ability to apply it to claims and settlements.
• Ability to compile, interpret, and disseminate data and make sound decisions under the Act.
• Working knowledge of data processing methods used in processing workers' compensation claims.
• Ability to communicate effectively with injured workers, employers, and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Examine personal injury reports, claims and settlements to determine compliance with the Workers' Compensation Act.
• Review and verify workers' compensation data and compile statistical reports for department use.
• Provide technical assistance and information to the public and professionals regarding rights and obligations under the Act.
• Conduct training seminars for adjusters, examiners, and self-insured in procedures and forms.
