Job summary

ServingSchools is seeking a Center Life Supervisory Coordinator to support students in adjusting to Center life and to maintain positive relationships with co-workers and partners. The role involves counseling, case notes, and facilitating work-based learning projects on and off campus.

The position requires an Associate degree with two years’ experience in marketing, sales, or counseling, preferably with youth, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Minimum: Associate degree and two years' experience in marketing, sales, or counseling related areas.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree or 4 years professional experience working with youth; two years' experience in marketing, sales, or counseling related areas.
• Knowledge: ability to effectively communicate with trainees and stakeholders; valid state driver''s license.

Responsibilities

• Must create and sustain positive working relationships with co-workers.
• Assist students in adjusting to Center life to enhance student retention; provide supervision, behavior modification, counseling, and act as a positive role model and mentor.
• Prepare reports and forms in Center Information System; document observations of students'' behavior and progress toward goals.
• Maintain confidentiality but report significant events to ensure health, safety, and well-being of students and staff.
• Meet individually with students at least once a month and document meetings in case notes.
• Coordinate with safety officer to inspect work-based learning sites for safety and appropriateness.
• Escort potential employers on tours and act as a guest speaker to promote the School to Career program.
• Schedules and transports trainees to work sites; visits work sites to monitor progress.
